Ericsson Nikola Tesla – Winner of Index CSR award

At the 4 th National Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility, held under the auspice of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Prof Dr Ivo Josipović, on April 25, 2013, in The Regent Esplanade Hotel, the European awards for CSR and Index for Community Social Responsibility were formally awarded.

The European CSR award in the category of large companies was awarded to Coca Cola HBC Hrvatska for the project  “Language manual Coca-Cole HBC Hrvatska”, while the European award in the category of small and medium-sized enterprises was awarded to Končar Institute for Electrical Engineering, for the project  “Applying science to innovations” (PRIZNADI).

The award Index CSR was created as a joint initiative of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) and the Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development (HR PSOR) with the objective to highlight Croatian companies that implement CSR throughout every aspect of its operating and towards all stakeholders. This year, the Index was awarded for the fifth year in a row, and in the category of large companies Ericsson Nikola Tesla won the Index CSR for its positive practice towards key stakeholders.

 “Ericsson Nikola Tesla is the leading Croatian company that already long ago has started with implementation of CSR in its strategic development, all its processes and relations towards all key stakeholders. I am pleased that this is the fourth year in a row that this award goes to Ericsson Nikola Tesla, because it is a company, in which the social responsibility is duly implemented on the daily basis. Your projects in “green technologies” are excellent examples to other Croatian companies, showing them how to prepare successfully for entering the competitive EU market, in which our companies will operate, after Croatia joins European Union in July”, underlined Jasminka Turzun”.
