Ericsson Nikola Tesla at International Convention MIPRO 2013

A five-day international convention MIPRO 2013 that this year gathered in Opatija more than a thousand ICT experts and scientist from some thirty countries ended on May 24, after an intense synergy established among the gathered representatives from economy, education, science and state administration.

Since this 36th MIPRO event took place on the eve of Croatia EU accession, it was all imbued with the corresponding EU themes. With regard to that, the conference “Digital Agenda going local”, organized by the Croatian Government, the Ministry of Public Administration and the Committee for Coordination of Public Sector Informatization, in collaboration with the European Commission, shall be especially highlighted. The conference objective was the promotion of the European Committee Digital Agenda for Europe, which encourages the comprehensive application of digital technology. It is one of seven key initiatives of Europe 2020 strategy. The Minster of Public Administration, Arsen Bauk, held the introductory word to the large audience, and after almost all day lasting successful and eventful presentations, a Round table was organized to discuss what does Croatia bring into EU, and what can ICT segment expect from the given membership. Among the selected representatives of the Croatian Government, the European Commission, academic community, local and regional authorities, business and non-governmental sector, the presentation of Gordana Kovačević, the president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla was the outstanding one.
Thus, it was again about the contribution, the Company gave at highest level, to the event that it has been supporting from its early days.
