Winners Will Always be Transforming

Innovations Institute is a non-profit organization, focused on the development of regional innovation potentials. It has launched a series of lectures, during which the leaders from public life and business highlighted the key role of innovations and added values. The cycle of this year lectures was opened by MSc Gordana Kovačević, Ericsson Nikola Tesla President, by discussing the topic “Creation and Encouragement of Innovations Culture – Ericsson Nikola Tesla as an Example.

Innovations Institute is a non-profit organization focused on the development of regional innovation potentials. An important link in achievement of the motivating innovation culture is a visualization of individuals and organizations, which base their success on innovativeness.

Therefore, the Institute has launched a serious of lectures, read by the leading persons from public and business life, such as Prof. Ivo Josipović, Ph.D., the president of the Republic of Croatia and Prof. Boris Vujčić, the Governor of the Croatian National Bank, which all highlighted the importance of innovations and creation of added value. The cycle of this year lectures was opened by MSc Gordana Kovačević, the President of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, by discussing the topic “Creation and Encouragement of Innovations Culture – Ericsson Nikola Tesla as an example.

Goran Vlašić the President of the Innovations Institute was the first to address the audience in the packed hall of Školska knjiga. He underlined the necessity to strengthen the entrepreneurship spirit and change the way of thinking among domestic managers. The outdated business models can no longer be an adequate response to the demanding economic conditions, was a message in brief by Mr. Vlašić.

Gordana Kovačević presented the audience the example of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, showing them the way the company lives with transformations, caused by innovations, which are considered the major strategic guideline in the company. 
 
- It is about the creativity in all we deal with that enabled the employees to be recognized, and the company thus gained a distinguished position of a top quality organization with respectable results. Certainly, the innovation practice is not an overnight process, and is not left to a chance – all is strategically designed, and the program of innovativeness is an integral part of a business achievement card. The essence of innovation is creation of added value by using creativity of all employees.

In addition, Gordana Kovačević commented on the time period in which Ericsson Nikola Tesla achieves its results and underlined that, as of the present day business performance, the major challenge is to keep pace with constant and great changes.

- There is no strategy, which can anticipate all, but a constant transformation in a dynamic environment is inevitable. Since we live in the fifth technological revolution, it is obvious that future changes will never be as slow as today.  ICT technology, as the fifth technological revolution driver, contributed to the competitiveness of all other industries, and its positive effects are obvious through impact on people, business and environment. Therefore, to all industries, and especially to us who are performing within ICT industry, excellent, motivated and creative individuals and teams are of the utmost importance.

Currently, the continuity of the successful business can be measured with added value creation and the rate and quality of adjustment to markets, technological and social challenges, and the winners are those who manage to transform. We are witnessing continues repositioning on markets,  disappearance of current and emerging of new competitors, new business models and even higher requirements set by users. The innovativeness is more and more a point of differentiation of modern organization and the key of future competitiveness on markets. Many times now experts and leaders from our company have proved that just creation and implementation of new products solutions and service, aimed both for domestic and export markets, make leaders and not just followers. The proactive work and commitment, in a synergy with continuous activities on the development of innovations, gives extraordinary results. In brief, we encourage curiosity and creative thinking, and we transform smart ideas in a real value.

There are many examples showing that it is worth doing so, but Ms. Kovačević highlighted some ideas, which by successful implementation both home and abroad, became our innovation brand and reason for additional employment.

The presentation was followed by discussions and exchange of ideas. Dominating were questions concerning economic and technological trends, Ericsson Nikola Tesla operations in the global environment, new potentials and new strategic partnerships.
