The Croatian Exporters association awards the Golden Key to the best local exporters each year. To mark their 10th anniversary, they have decided to present special awards to exporters that have continuously proven their excellence. The high selection criteria were satisfied by eleven companies alone, among whom Ericsson Nikola Tesla, that were awarded at the 9th Croatian Exporters Convention.

As per the Regulation on the Platinum Key Awards, the award is given to those exporters that have been awarded Golden Keys three or more times in the past six years. Our company is also among the most frequently awarded exporters.

The award ceremony at the Westin hotel in Zagreb was also attended by the Croatian Prime Minister, Zoran Milanović, along with participation of numerous high political representatives and business people.

Other than presenting the best, the Convention was also an opportunity to analyse the situation and to set the guidelines for the desired development of local export. The panel discussion „Affirmation of Croatian Export“ has actualized all the obstacles the companies encounter, but has also provided quality suggestions for their removal.

The discussion participants, Boris Lalovac, the Croatian Minister of Finance, Joško Klisović, Deputy Minister of Foreign and European Affairs and the President of the government's Committee for the Internationalization of the Croatian Economy, Dražen Pros, Deputy Minister of Entrepreneurship and Crafts, Darinko Bago, President of the Croatian Exporters, Luka Burilović, President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy and Gordana Kovačević, President of Ericsson Nikola Tesla as the representative of all the Platinum Key winners, with the interventions from the audience - from exporters, Trade Unions' representatives and analysts, have agreed that the exporters are the healthiest part of our economy and that export is the most important contributor to the exit from crisis. On the other hand, all participants spoke about the need for a national consensus and joint effort on all parts of society to support excellent companies that have competitive products, solutions and high value added in the global market.

All the presented indicators, including the Croatian government’s Committee for the Internationalization of the Croatian Economy Action Plan for Export Support 2014-2015 referred by Joško Klisović, speak for the importance of and the need to affirm export for faster economic recovery and sustainable development of the country.

Thanking for congratulations for the company’s 65 th anniversary of successful business and for the award to the company, which is the largest Croatian exporter of knowledge, Gordana Kovačević stressed the key factors for the continuity of excellence and the success of Ericsson Nikola Tesla. She put the company’s development in the context of ongoing change and adjustment to technological and market demands and emphasized the great contribution of employees who are the true company ambassadors in all the markets in which we do business. Lifelong learning and innovation, which are included in all activities of the employees regardless of their work surrounding and responsibilities, are equally important levers in the continuity of the company’s business success. It is precisely due to that approach and way of working that Ericsson Nikola Tesla is an example of a quality part of the global organization and, at the same time, an important part of the Croatian ICT sector that has a great potential for even stronger research & development and export activities.
