Ericsson’s Remote Patient Monitoring Wins 2014 M2M TeleHealth Award

Ericsson’s remote patient monitoring solution has won an M2M TeleHealth Award for its ability to improve health care delivery and overall wellness. m2m Data Management platform (m2mDM), part of an awarded solution, is being developed in Ericsson Nikola Tesla.

Ericsson’s remote patient monitoring solution, which is utilized by AT&T, allows doctors to monitor patients over video on a tablet connected to the Internet. It also enables patients to check their vital signs and send the data to a secure portal where their doctor can access and review it.

“Remote patient monitoring is a revolutionary, cloud-based technology that allows doctors and patients to communicate in a new way, improving health care and overall wellness,” said Peter Michelson, Head of Cloud Services Domain, Customer Unit AT&T. “We are very proud to be recognized with this prestigious award.”

m2m Data Management platform, an important component part of a solution used in AT&T is being developed in Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s ICT Solutions for Industry & Society unit with assistance from  Support Solutions unit. Croatian experts have been involved in the realization of this project from day one by jointly developing new functionalities with colleagues from Northern America and providing support  to the mentioned solution.
