Deputy Secretary-General of ITU Visited Croatia

During his one-day visit to the Republic of Croatia, the International Telecommunication Union Deputy Secretary-General, Houlin Zhao, visited Ericsson Nikola Tesla.

 

Mr. Zhao was accompanied by Dražen Lučić, the President of Council of HAKOM(Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries)and Krešo Antonović, Head of Directorate for Electronic Communications and Postal Services at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure  (MMPI). Ericsson Nikola Tesla President, Gordana Kovačević, wished the guests a warm welcome, and briefly presented the company, business performance, the way of working and managing, as well as the employee structure and company culture. An especially important topic of discussion, which sparked an interest and many questions of the distinguished guest, was related to innovativeness and participation of our experts in research-development projects for the global organization. After the meeting, with great interest, the guests visited the Technology Road, which provides an insight into current ICT reach and enables a sort of a look into  the future networked society. This was an excellent opportunity for Mr. Zhao to broad his knowledge about Croatian reaches in the segments, such as e/m-Health or e-Call, and about Ericsson Nikola Tesla contribution to these segments and to numerous other successes, as well.

On the same day, Mr. Zhao, as the highest ranked Head in the ITU who ever visited Croatia, and the official candidate for the new Secretary-General of this significant UN agency, met the Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, Siniša Hajdaš Dončić and visitedCroatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), where he exchanged his experience in ICT segment with his Croatian colleagues.
