Diversity Inspires

  Categories: Events

On October 7, Innovation Day 2016 was held on Ericsson Nikola Tesla premises in Zagreb, under the motto “Diversity Inspires”, which can be applied to a whole range of our activities throughout this year.
Once again, the event showed that Ericsson Nikola Tesla and Ericsson Nikola Tesla Servisi’s employees have diverse interests and engage in different activities, all with a good sense of social responsibility and solidarity towards their fellow citizens who are in need.

Thirteen items were classified into four topical units dedicated to the Internet of Things (IoT), our portfolio in e-Health, solutions in telecommunications, and currently the most popular topic – using Big data.

The idea of the accompanying charity event/giveaway was for our employees to visit the topical units, collect stamps and fill out necessary forms, and for each filled out form, the company will donate to the soup kitchen in our neighborhood resources that will cover one-week’s meals for one homeless person. The exact number of donated meals will be defined only after the second part of the charity event, which will be held in Split by the end of this year.

A stimulating introduction to the Innovation Day was given by the opening speech made by Gordana Kovačević, president of the Company, and a talk-show hosted by our famous sociologist and writer Bruno Šimleša, which was attended by a great number of the company’s employees. Talking to five extraordinary people - Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s employees - and listening to their life stories, Šimleša gave to the audience words of wisdom, advice on perseverance, playfulness, experience, and a healthy attitude toward life, which are all traits that make these people special and extremely inspirational.

You can read more on the event in the next issue of Komunikacije magazine.
