It aims to promote and improve the health of all segments of population, with special focus on working population. Highlighting the importance of health of the working population, the component “Health and the Workplace” is specially designed for targeted action in raising the awareness and education of employees. We are pleased that Ericsson Nikola Tesla has recognized the significance of investment into employees’ health and has become a part of the family of companies that promote health. Gordana Kovačević, MSc, president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, said:

“Responsible behavior of our company is imperative for us and the health of our employees is high on our list of priorities when taking care of our people. We are in this together: on the one hand, the company provides quality and motivating work environment and conditions and acts as an educator as much as it can, while on the other hand, the employees themselves, by adopting healthy lifestyles, are taking their part of the responsibility. Judging by the number of sport sections in the company, the number of individual sports amateurs, requests for healthy food in the company canteen, the good response to regular medical check-ups, etc., we can conclude that our employees themselves are very responsible and dedicated to prevention.

Therefore, we are particularly pleased to join this project because it will give us a chance to further raise awareness of all aspects of preventive healthcare, provide new opportunities for improvements and additionally contribute to well-being of employees.”

Within the project, together with the certification, the companies have access to educational modules for further improvement of occupational health. The first of a series of educational events in Ericsson Nikola Tesla will begin already this month, when a team of Croatian Institute of Public Health experts will offer quality support to employees by promoting healthy lifestyles.
