CareWell Operational Phase Launching

The official start of the operational phase of the three year European project Carewell that was signed last year and is financed by the EU funds from the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme, was marked on Monday, June 29, with a press conference at the premises of Ericsson Nikola Tesla that is a partner of this project in Croatia, together with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb, and the Croatian Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Health Economics. Together with the hosts, the event was attended by numerous respectable scientists and medical workers, members of relevant institutions, as well as by the Minister of Health, Siniša Varga, and Tatjana Prenđa Trupec, the Director of Croatian Health Insurance Fund (CHIF).
Prevention – the Best Cure Against Cancer

Each year on February 4, we mark the World Cancer Day. The aim is to raise awareness on malignant diseases and point to methods of preventing, diagnosing and curing the disease, which is the cause of death of every 4th citizen in Croatia. Ericsson Nikola Tesla is already involved in the Ministry of Health National Prevention Programs (NPP).

Ericsson Nikola Tesla 14th Summer Camp

This summer, Ericsson Nikola Tesla held its, already 14th year in a row, International Summer Camp – an excellent example how concrete and systematic collaboration of science and economy can be a reliable foundation for the society's development and progress. The Summer Camp, which hosted about 600 students from Croatia and abroad in the last 14 years, aims at top graduate students, mostly of electrical engineering and computing, and lately, it aims at students of other faculties, as well.
IPA 2009 project for the Croatian agency for medicines and medicinal products presented

The project “Preparations for eCTD and Implementation of Digital Archival Information System” whose end beneficiary is the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of the Republic of Croatia (HALMED) was presented in Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s premises on Tuesday, 16 September. The purpose of this project funded through the European Union’s IPA 2009 Programme for Croatia was to support HALMED’s efficient participation in the European medicines regulatory network.

The closing ceremony of project of the development of a One Stop Shop (OSS) for the Joint Information System of Land Registry and Cadastre (JIS), financed by the European Union’s IPA 2008 Programme for Croatia, was held in Ericsson Nikola Tesla on 30 May 2014. One Stop Shop was established through the project and 14 training courses for the use and administration of the established OSS system were held for the employees of the Ministry of Justice, the State Geodetic Administration and their stakeholders in which they were trained for future efficient use of JIS. Additionally, 11 Land Registry and 11 Cadastral offices were incorporated into the work of JIS (which is 10% of the total number of land registry and cadastral offices in Croatia).
eSTUDENT Activities for Better Interaction with Businesses

Case Study Competition, a project of the student association eSTUDENT, is a competition in solving real business cases on a given topic. This year's competition attracted sixteen leading Croatian companies, including Ericsson Nikola Tesla, with the topic „Interaction of people and machines in a networked society – digital inclusion “. Darko Huljenić, PhD, presented the awards to the best teams at the closing ceremony.
