On the occasion of marking the Day of the University of Mostar, robot Leo Rover was presented at the University, and the University also organized a Hackathon for students. Leo Rover is a part of the Smart Campus project, which is being implemented by the University of Mostar in cooperation with the strategic partners, HT Eronet and Ericsson Nikola Tesla. Leo Rover is a mobile robot managed via LTE network of HT Eronet, and this platform has the option to be extended by various sensors and enables the development of various use cases, to be applied in concrete business systems. Within this cooperation, the plan is also to implement 5G Smart Campus in the near future.
The Annual General Meeting of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, joint-stock company, was held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at the Company’s headquarters in Zagreb, Krapinska 45, with the observance of all anti-epidemic measures. For the participation in the work of the General Meeting, HRK 89,765,300.00 of share capital was registered, corresponding to 67.41 percent of the Company’s total equity, which was sufficient for the General Meeting to reach valid decisions.
In the special conditions caused by the coronacrisis and with the observance of all protection measures, on Friday, June 26, 2020, in the Company's premises in Krapinska 45, Zagreb, the Annual General Meeting of the Ericsson Nikola Tesla joint-stock company was held. For the participation in the work of the AGM, HRK 89,870,700.00 of the equity capital was registered, corresponding to 67.49 % of the total Company’s equity. This was sufficient for the AGM to make valid decisions.
Swedish communications service provider Telia Company has launched commercial 5G in Stockholm powered by Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) Radio Access Network (RAN) products and solutions. Initial services on the 700Mhz band will cover most of central Stockholm by mid-June, including the Norrmalm, Östermalm and Vasastan districts.
On the occasion of implementing the Declaration on Women in Digital, Central State Office for the Development of Digital Society organized a round table titled „Postani i TI, djevojka IT” at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology (FERIT) in Osijek. Marina Simunic, an expert working in our R&D Center in Osijek, was one of female role models working in ICT who talked about her positive experiences.
At the 9th international “Women in Business” conference, Lider business weekly and Bisnode company presented the list of most powerful women in Croatian business. Gordana Kovačević, president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, has for many years been on the list of most influential women and named the most powerful woman in Croatian business for four consecutive years. This year, the jury therefore presented Gordana Kovačević with a special award for the overall contribution to Croatian economy.
At the annual conference on corporate social responsibility, CSR Index awards were officially presented for the 12th consecutive time. Organized by the Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development (HR PSOR) and the Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK), and in the presence of numerous renowned guests, the awards were presented to companies for the best CSR achievements. The companies were awarded in nine categories, and more than a hundred companies entered the competition this year.
