Ericsson to acquire Vonage for USD 6.2 billion to spearhead the creation of a global network and communication platform for open innovation
Ericsson enters into agreement for USD 6.2 billion cash offer to acquire Vonage, a global provider of cloud-based communications, with unanimous approval of the Vonage Board of Directors. Acquisition underlines Ericsson strategy to expand its presence in wireless enterprise and broaden its global offerings.
Pursuant to the Companies Act, Art. 277, sections 2 and 3, the Managing Director of the joint stock company Ericsson Nikola Tesla, Zagreb, Krapinska 45, on May 14, 2021 passed the Decision on convocation of the Annual General Meeting, to be held at the registered office of the Company in Zagreb, Krapinska 45, on June 29, 2021 at 11 a.m.
Currently, Ericsson Nikola Tesla d.d. and the Ministry of Health have a signed Contract on Maintenance and Upgrade of the Central Part Software of CEZIH, and the creation or maintenance of the web page cijepise.zdravlje.hr (accordingly, this concerns a web page, not a platform) is not a part of this Contract. Therefore, there is no, and there was no, neither legal nor contractual obligation of the possible engagement of Ericsson Nikola Tesla d.d. in the activities related to the web page cijepise.zdravlje.hr.
The Management Board and Leadership Team of Ericsson Nikola Tesla made a decision to donate HRK 400,000 to the account that the Government of the Republic of Croatia opened with the aim of collecting aid to repair the damage caused by earthquakes in the towns of Petrinja, Sisak and Glina and other towns and municipalities struck by devastating earthquakes.
