New Ericsson Nikola Tesla's contracts in the Russian Federation valued at HRK 14 million

Ericsson Nikola Tesla signed three new contracts in the Russian Federation in total valued at 14 million kunas. The contracts cover jobs within the wireline area, i.e. the upgrade of several AXE exchanges including some Moscow exchanges belonging to the Rostelecom’s international, intercity and signaling wireline network as well as the upgrade of AXE exchanges in Krasnodar and St. Petersburg. These jobs were contracted with the world renowned national operators Rostelecom and Svyazinvest, Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s long-term business partners, and Peterstar, an operator based in St. Petersburg.

„New Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s contracts signed with the customers from the Russian Federation constitute a continuation of our traditionally solid operation in this market that has lasted for some fifty years. Over this long period we have always taken extra care to support our partners’ development striving to provide them with the most recent ICT solutions enabling their business growth”, comments Gordana Kovačević, president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla.

"The intercity and international communications traffic in the Russian Federation keeps growing together with the growth of the broadband services. This has lead to the increased Internet subscriber number, further causing the increased need for broadband and signaling capacities. That is why our cooperation with the long-term Russian partners to whom we have delivered a considerable number of telephone exchanges and other equipment, as well as total ICT solutions and services keeps developing very positively. It is interesting to mention that the first automatic exchange delivered to the former Soviet Union about fifty years ago from our former enterprise Nikola Tesla is still operative in the city of Elektrostalj, not far from Moscow", explains Josip Jakovac, the company vice president and the key account manager for the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
