Ericsson Nikola Tesla, the leading Croatian exporter of ICT products, services and solutions, has signed a contract with Megafon, a GSM operator in Russia, for delivery of their new wireline transit network based on Ericsson AXE system. The contract is valued at USD 4.7 million, however, the related implementation services together with training, which is covered by a separate contract currently in preparation phase, will bring the amount in the vicinity of USD 6 million.

 

The strategic significance of this contract is extremely high as Megafon is a new addition to Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s customer base. It is one of three leading mobile operators in Russia, serving about 30 million end users.
