Ericsson Nikola Tesla continues its good performance in the Kosovo market after they built a completely new a GSM network for the mobile operator Ipko and started it end of last year. The latest contract in this market was signed on 17th March 2008 for a fixed Internet broadband access with the PTK operator (Post and Telecommunications of Kosovo J.S.C.); it is about the delivery, implementation and integration of VDSL2 subscriber lines across the entire Kosovo region. The company was awarded this contract worth approx. 8 MHRK as the top quality bidder in a public bidding contest announced in November last year.
„The project performance is in progress, once it is finished the users in Kosovo will have a fast broadband access to the Internet contents and services based on the cutting-edge VDSL2 technology“, said Ivan Barać, Ericsson Nikola Tesla's officer responsible for sales in Kosovo.
