Ericsson Nikola Tesla – new export deals worth 45,6 million kuna


The company Ericsson Nikola Tesla signed new contracts in the Commonwealth of Independent States, CIS, worth 45,6 million kunas. A contract with the customer Svjazinvest, the largest Russian fixed operator and business partner of Ericsson Nikola Tesla over many years, includes a telecom network reconstruction in the North-West Region of Russia in Arkhangelsk, Kaliningrad, Komi, Vologda, Pskov, Sankt Peterburg, Novgorod, Karelia and Murmansk. Within the entire project Ericsson exchange solutions should replace nine Alcatel and Siemens exchanges in the fixed network.

 

“The realization of new zone nodes in all territories of the North-West Region of Russia will enable subscribers in the Region to select alternative operators in long distance and international traffic. With this contract Ericsson considerably broadens its installed infrastructure in the Region and also enters new territories and creates a platform for a future expansion and new services introduction”, says Josip Jakovac, Company Vice-President and Sales and Marketing Director for CIS market.

 

Ericsson Nikola Tesla also contracted new export deals with the operator Peterstar from Sankt Peterburg, for a delivery of equipment to expand its broadband network, and with the mobile operator MegaFon, for a delivery of equipment required for a fixed network extension and cell plan.  

 

A considerable share of new business deals is relating to cutting-edge IP enterprise systems.
