Ericsson Nikola Tesla to provide a solution for the Montenegro Emergency Call Center 112

On June 25, 2008 the Montenegro Ministry of Interior Affairs and Public Administration and Ericsson Nikola Tesla signed a contract in line with which the leading Croatian exporter of ICT solutions will provide the Ministry with a solution for the country’s new Emergency Call Center 112. The contract is valued at almost 20 million kunas and it covers the delivery of communications equipment based on Ericsson’s system Coordcom designed for communication support in emergencies (call number 112). It is a «turn-key» solution which is comprised of all required hardware and network components as well as the system and application software.

The implementation of this solution will enable people living in Montenegro, but also those travelling through the country or visiting it, to call for help of different emergency services – police, ambulance, fire brigade and the like – simply by dialing 112. By selecting this solution the Montenegro government acclaimed Ericsson Nikola Tesla as the leading regional system integrator of solutions for communications centers.

„The company Ericsson Nikola Tesla which operates within a dynamic ICT industry is continuously striving to find new business opportunities within the area of system integration. This business segment has a lot of potential but as the system integration projects are most often very complex, there are a few of those who can work on them very successfully. We are very proud that Ericsson Nikola Tesla is among them. That is why we are very pleased that we contracted such a job with a new customer - the Montenegro Ministry of Interior Affairs and Public Administration – within the area of the enterprise system integration. I am convinced that Ericsson’s technology, which has been present in the Montenegro market over many years, will again prove its quality and reliability, in this case through the efficient operation of different emergency services and that it will support the top quality communication when it is most needed – in the time of crisis”, pointed out Gordana Kovačević, president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla.

The contract also covers the knowledge transfer, so experts of Ericsson Nikola Tesla involved in this area will work on educating colleagues from the Ministry of Interior Affairs and Public Administration of Montenegro.
