Ericsson Nikola Tesla continues its successful operation in the export markets. The company contracted several new jobs in Georgia and the Russian Federation in total valued at 13,6 million kunas.
The biggest and most important contract was signed in Georgia with the operator United Telecom. It covers a delivery of a new AXE international exchange in Tbilisi together with the implementation of the most modern applications for a wireline broadband network and a state-of-the-art network management system. The operator already has an Ericsson AXE exchange that was delivered by Ericsson Nikola Tesla in 2002. This existing exchange and the new one will have the capacity to fully serve the overall international traffic in Georgia.
Other contracts are related to the expansion of the wireline broadband network in the Russian city of Tomsk and the delivery of IP based solutions for business users working in the oil industry and tourism.
„We are very glad that the cooperation with our longstanding partners in Georgia is continued in spite of the dire circumstances in the country. That is an additional acknowledgment of our solid partnership and business with the operators in this market,” comments Josip Jakovac, company vice-president and director of CIS sales and marketing.
