At the end of May Ericsson Nikola Tesla contracted new export jobs in Moldova and Belarus, in total valued at 4,5 million kunas. The contracts cover the delivery of a modern solution for the wireline broadband network, the modernization and upgrade of an AXE system as well as the delivery of a state-of-the-art system for mobile network management and network optimization. The jobs were contracted with the operator Interdnyestrcom from the city of Tiraspol in Moldova and the operator FE Velcom from Minsk in Belarus.
„Moldova and Belarus are markets with high presence of modern Ericcsson’s wireline and wireless communications systems due to the activities of Ericsson Nikola Tesla. In spite of poor economic circumstances the investments in telecommunications segment are in these countries considered to be a way into prosperity. The latest contracts that we signed with the operators active in Moldova and Belarus will strengthen our partnership with them”, comments Josip Jakovac, Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s Vice President and Director of Sales and Marketing for the Commonwealth of Independent Countries (CIS).
