Ericsson Nikola Tesla and Beltelecom, a Belarus fixed telephony operator, signed in Minsk the contract on the delivery of the equipment for the extension of Internet infrastructure capacity. The contract value amounts to almost HRK 65 million. Besides the equipment delivery Ericsson Nikola Tesla will provide the support services, too. The equipment for the realization of this complex project is to be delivered by the end of April 2010.
For Beltelecom the Contract was signed by K.S. Tikar, director general and for Ericsson Nikola Tesla by Zvonko Bićanić, regional director and the representative of Ericsson in Belarus

Gordana Kovačević, the president of Ericssona Nikola Tesla, gave a comment on this important contract and said: “The contract was signed in a tough competition and after a complex procedure, which included the test of the total solution in the Beltelecom network system. This solution will offer to Beltelecom users a new level of services, but it is also a base for demanding services, like IPTV. The realization of the project will enable the connection of a much larger number of Beltelecom users, than by now”.
