Ericsson Nikola Tesla and Crnogorski Telekom Signed More than MHRK45 Agreement

Rüdiger Schulz, Chief Executive Officer of Crnogorski Telekom and Gordana Kovačević, MSc, the president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla in Podgorica signed on Nov. 10, a frame agreement, defining the cooperation in the radio access network for the next five years. The contract value amounts to more than MHRK 45. As of the contracted business, the realization some 40 per cent is planned for the 12 months to come.

 

Within this agreement, Crnogorski Telekom will be supplied Ericsson EVO RAN solution, which enables a multi-standard radio transmission that will cover the second and the third generation of mobile telephony and LTE technology, too. The agreement also covers the new equipment implementation service and the removal of the old one, measurements “drive” tests and continuous monitoring of the key network performance indicators.

Gordana Kovačević, MSc, gave a comment on the deal: “It has not been long since putting 3G services into the commercial operation in Montenegro, and Crnogorski Telekom, in cooperation with our company, may be proud of the highest speed of mobile network access in Montenegro. Thus, the rate of even 42 Mbps has been recently available to its users. The new agreement is a guarantee for further implementation of modern technologies, in compliance with needs of Crnogorski Telekom, which is a leader in offering new functionalities to Montenegro users. The “green technology” by Ericsson offers considerable power savings and low carbon emission. Thus, the innovative approach and leading market position of Crnogorski Telecom goes on”.
