Croatia is a partner country of the 20th jubilee International Economy Fair – Mostar 2017, one of the greatest economic events in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was ceremonially opened yesterday, in the presence of the Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković. Among 800 exhibitors from around 30 countries, who present nearly all sectors of the economy, from agriculture, gastronomy, and tourism to ICT, Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s exhibition stand is prominent for its look and contents, and has attracted the attention not only of the delegations that arrived in protocolar order, but also of a great number of visitors.
President of the Republic of Croatia Visits Ericsson Corporation Headquarters

During her official visit to the Kingdom of Sweden, the president of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović visited Ericsson Corporation. Accompanied by high-level officials, she got acquainted with the latest technological developments presented in Ericsson Studio. Advocating a stronger economic cooperation between the two countries, especially in ICT industry, she commended the partnership between the Ericsson Corporation and Ericsson Nikola Tesla as a high-quality model of cooperation. She also highlighted the important role that high-value ICT business activities play in demographic context, while stating that the Swedish model of keeping the youth in the country could also be applied to Croatia.

On Tuesday, March 7, 2017, President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović with her associates visited Ericsson Nikola Tesla. The delegation was welcomed by Gordana Kovačević, MSc. Ericsson Nikola Tesla president presented the Company's activities while highlighting research, development and innovations, particularly in the field of solutions and services for the Networked Society.

National Foundation for Pupil and Student Standard Support celebrated its successful tenth anniversary. One of the key Foundation partners, providing various kinds of support, is Ericsson Nikola Tesla, as the president of our company is an active member of the Foundation's Governing Council. In the Palace “Dverce“, together with the representatives of institutions and business, former students, who were scholarship beneficiaries, talked about the importance that financial support has for young people. One of the beneficiaries was Ante Miloš, who is an Ericsson Nikola Tesla employee today.

During his official visit to Sweden, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Croatia and Sweden, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Davor Ivo Stier visited Ericsson Headquarters. He expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation between Ericsson and Ericsson Nikola Tesla, intensive strengthening of research and development activities in Croatia, and the quality of Ericsson Nikola Tesla solutions for industry and society, which have been implemented until now, as well as announcing further cooperation development.
Belarus Approaching 75% 4G Coverage, 5G Coming Up Next

Two months ago, we informed the public on the contract concluded between Ericsson Nikola Tesla and Belorussian company beCloud, worth more than MHRK 76, with the aim of enabling LTE services to Belarussian users. At the press conference held in Minsk on December 14, representatives of beCloud and all other included partners concluded with satisfaction that LTE is already available in Minsk. By the end of 2016, it will be launched in commercial operation in all regional centers of Belarus, said the operator's heads.

On December 8, 2016, Ericsson Nikola Tesla company and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER), University of Zagreb, have signed a framework agreement with the aim of bridging the gap between education and labor market, as well as boosting competitiveness of the Croatian economy. This agreement is a reasonable follow-up to a longtime and fruitful collaboration between Croatia’s biggest exporter of knowledge and our most famous research and educational institution in ICT, as well as a good example of how prudent innovation management and a high-quality partnership bring a measurable competitive advantage both to the science and the economy.
