Ericsson Nikola Tesla was visited by a group of public relations experts, members of Croatian Public Relation Association (HUOJ) and Croatian Public Relation Association Student Section. Ericsson Nikola Tesla President, Gordana Kovačević, MSc, addressed the members in her opening remarks, and along with a few personal recommendations on encouraging the quality and the credibility of communications profession, specially highlighted the importance of strategic communication, as an indispensable part in successful companies' business performance.
Besides the successful performance, the company is well known in public as caring for young people. On Tuesday, Jan. 21 a group of undergraduates studying management and entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Economics and Tourist Trade in Pula, and the undergraduates studying business informatics at Vern, University of Applied Science, accompanied by their professors, visited the company.
Since the dividend, which Ericsson Nikola Tesla paid to its Company Shareholders in June 2013, from 2003 and partly 2004 retained earnings; has still remained subjected to income tax and surtax regardless of the recent legal changes, the Company shall pay calculated tax and surtax to the Tax Administration account by the end of 2013.
The Large Zagreb Music Hall, Vatroslav Lisinski, was the only suitable interior to accommodate all Ericsson Nikola Tesla employees, those coming from Zagreb and Split, and Sarajevo, to gather together for their annual meeting. After some two and a half hour of the “meeting”, when the official program ended, the opinion of majority of attendees can be summarized in a sentence: “We have learned many new things and it was again interesting, unusual and quite different”.
At the conference organized by the magazine Lider, under the title “ Women in Business”, owners, directors and managers of the companies in the region gathered, with the aim to share the successful experiences, bring together and connect business women in the region and to motivate new ventures and encourage the initiative for a greater representation of women in decision-making positions. At the round table, under the title “Women and Innovations”, apart from Ericsson Nikola Tesla President, Gordana Kovačević, MSc, who is this year once again at the very top of the most powerful women in Croatian business, based on the survey conducted by the magazine Lider, Malin Elisabeth Holmberg, Tele 2 Croatia Chairman of the Board, also participated, together with two young innovators from Vienna, Ana Burica and Josipa Majić and Saša Cvetojević, the founder of the Zagreb Entrepreneurship Incubator.
This year, traditionally, by gathering numerous customers, business partners and distinguished persons from the public and economic life, Ericsson Nikola Tesla marked the ending of the business year 2013. In a pleasant atmosphere of Vintage Industrial Bar in Zagreb, the guests and the hosts had the opportunity to talk about the most important achievements this year and about the plans for the future.
According to the rating of the European Commission, Croatia plays an important role in scientific research, although it just recently became a member of the European Union. The European Commission stated an important contribution from the private sector, specially highlighting the company Ericsson Nikola Tesla, which actively participates in a series of European projects. In the project UNIVERSAAL, which should enable ICT industry an easier development and implementation of solutions for the, so called Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) – hardware and software, which will increase the quality of life for elderly population, project Cloudscale, and other projects, as is the eWALL.
